Isabel Kranz, born in Berlin in 1977, is a literary scholar and author. She studied comparative literature and North American studies at the University of Augsburg, Charles de Gaulle Lille III, Freie Universität Berlin and Yale University. From 2005 to 2007, she held a fellowship in a DFG graduate research program. Her scholarly topics include the relationship between literature and botany, the theory of detail and the work of Walter Benjamin.
