Henriette Herwig

Henriette Herwig is a scholar of German literature and a professor of modern German literary studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. She received her doctorate from the University of Kassel with a dissertation on Botho Strauß and completed her habilitation in Bern with a study of Goethe’s late novel *Wilhelm Meister’s Journeyman Years*. Her scholarly interests include literature from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century, literary theory, gender studies, and the study of ageing.
