Heiner Fangerau

Heiner Fangerau (born 1972) is a professor of the history, theory and ethics of medicine at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and has served as director of its corresponding institute. He holds the academic titles Prof. Dr. med. and Dr. h.c. His research has focused on the history of medicine and science in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the history of medical diagnostics, neurology and psychiatry, the biomedical model, historical network analysis, and medicine under National Socialism.
