Helga Kromp-Kolb is an Austrian meteorologist and climate researcher. She was a professor of meteorology and climatology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), where she founded the Center for Global Change and Sustainability and led it until 2017. Her research focused particularly on climate change and sustainable development. Kromp-Kolb played a major role in founding the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA). In 2005, she was named Austrian Scientist of the Year and received further awards for her work.
