Heinrich Peuckmann

Born in 1949, Heinrich Peuckmann studied German and Protestant theology at Ruhr University Bochum. He taught German for many years. A versatile author, he wrote novels, crime novels, short stories, poetry, and radio plays. His published works include “Rong’s Search for the Lost Script” and “Ich lese nichts” (”I Read Nothing”), a teacher’s and writer’s reflections on students’ reading culture. Peuckmann was a member of the crime writers’ association Das Syndikat and PEN Centre Germany; in 2013, he was elected to the latter’s presidium.
