Heide Glaesmer

Heide Glaesmer holds a doctorate and is a professor and psychological psychotherapist. She worked in the Department of Medical Psychology and Sociology at Leipzig University, including as an adjunct professor and deputy head. She also headed the department’s research unit on psychotraumatology and migration research. Her academic work focused on the epidemiology of mental disorders, particularly depression and suicidality, as well as post-traumatic stress disorders, somatoform disorders and pain, the development of psychometric instruments, and health services research.
