Harmen van Straaten

Harmen van Straaten, born in Arnhem in 1958, initially studied and taught law. He later turned to illustrating children’s books and published his first book of his own in 2001. He wrote and illustrated around 400 works, including picture books and young adult novels, and received numerous national and international awards for his work.
