Hans-Ulrich Lessing

Hans-Ulrich Lessing, born in Dortmund in 1953, is a German philosopher. He received his doctorate in 1981 and completed his habilitation in 1995 at Ruhr University Bochum. He was an adjunct professor of philosophy there and a research associate at the Dilthey Research Center; he was later listed as professor emeritus. Lessing served as a co-editor of Wilhelm Dilthey’s Collected Writings. His publications include Hermeneutik der Sinne (1998) and Philosophische Hermeneutik (1999).
