Hans Schelkshorn

Hans Schelkshorn (born 1960) is a German theologian and philosopher. He holds doctorates in theology and philosophy and completed his habilitation in philosophy at the University of Vienna in 2007. He taught philosophy there at the Institute of Christian Philosophy and the Institute of Intercultural Philosophy of Religion within the Faculty of Catholic Theology. His areas of focus include theories of modernity, ethics, political philosophy, and intercultural philosophy, particularly Latin American philosophy. His publications include “Entgrenzungen. Ein europäischer Beitrag zum philosophischen Diskurs über die Moderne” (2009).
