Hans Kammerlander

Hans Kammerlander (born 1956 in Ahornach, South Tyrol) is an extreme mountaineer, mountain guide and ski instructor. He made around fifty first ascents and sixty solo climbs in the Dolomites and the Alps, and climbed twelve of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks. He has written several books about his expeditions, including “Bergsüchtig” and “Seven Second Summits,” about the world’s second-highest mountains. His autobiography, “Hans Kammerlander – Höhen und Tiefen meines Lebens,” was recorded in conversations with Verena Duregger and Mario Vigl.
