Hannes Steiner

Hannes Steiner was born in Salzburg in 1972. In his youth, he was a successful swimmer and a member of Austria’s national water polo team. He later studied law and business administration at the University of Innsbruck and worked in his parents’ bookstore. In the late 1990s, he founded Ecowin Verlag and was twice named Publisher of the Year. After selling the publishing house to Red Bull in 2013, he worked on projects for Red Bull Media House. In 2018, Steiner founded the online platform story.one, which gives people the opportunity to publish their own stories as books.
