Hannes Meyer

Hannes Meyer was born in 1982 in Preetz near Kiel, Germany, and studied literary translation in Düsseldorf. He began working as a freelance translator in 2007. He has translated works by, among others, James Franco, Philip Kerr, Dana Spiotta, Phil Klay, Tommy Orange, and Hernán Díaz into German. His translation of Anuk Arudpragasam’s novel *The Story of a Brief Marriage* was nominated for the International Literature Award of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
