Gregor Schollgen

Gregor Schöllgen (born 1952) is a German historian and writer. From 1985 to 2017, he taught modern and contemporary history at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and in the Foreign Office’s attaché training program. He also held visiting professorships in New York, Oxford, London and Zurich. Schöllgen was co-editor of the Documents on German Foreign Policy and of Willy Brandt’s papers. He has written numerous books on contemporary history, including biographies of politicians such as Willy Brandt and Gerhard Schröder, as well as studies of entrepreneurs and business families including Brose, Diehl, Schaeffler, Schickedanz and Schöller.
