Giovanni di Lorenzo

Giovanni di Lorenzo, born in Stockholm in 1959, studied in Munich. He began his career as a political reporter and head of the “Die Seite Drei” reporting section at Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 1999, he became editor-in-chief of the Berliner Tagesspiegel, and in 2004 he took over as editor-in-chief of Die Zeit. From 1989 onward, he moderated Radio Bremen’s television talk show “3 nach 9.” His publications include “Auf eine Zigarette mit Helmut Schmidt” (2009, with Helmut Schmidt), “Wofür stehst Du?” (2010, with Axel Hacke), “Vom Aufstieg und anderen Niederlagen” (2014), and “Erklär mir Italien!” (2017, with Roberto Saviano).
