Gerhard Falkner

Born in 1951, Gerhard Falkner is a German writer and poet. He has published numerous poetry collections, including »Hölderlin Reparatur«, which received the Peter Huchel Prize in 2009, and »Ignatien« (2014). His novella »Bruno« was awarded the Kranichstein Literature Prize in 2008. His novels include »Apollokalypse« (2016) and »Romeo oder Julia« (2017), which appeared on the longlist and shortlist, respectively, of the German Book Prize. Falkner has also translated works from English together with Nora Matocza, including books by Anne Michaels, Tom Drury, and Mark Z. Danielewski.
