Gerda Hagenauer is an educational scientist. Her academic positions have included work as a research associate in the Department of Educational Science at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and as a lecturer at the Institute of Educational Science at the University of Bern. Her research has focused on emotions, motivation and learning, as well as teacher-student relationships. She received the Student Research Excellence Award from the EARLI Special Interest Group “Motivation & Emotion” for her dissertation in 2009 and the Köck Foundation’s Science Award for Child-Centred Education in 2010.
