Carmen Zurbriggen

Carmen Zurbriggen holds a doctorate in special education and is a professor of special education at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Her professional background also includes work as a research assistant with special responsibilities in the university’s Department of Special Education. She is additionally associated with the RISC Section in Bielefeld, Germany. Her research focuses on empirical educational research, integration and inclusion, social participation and cohesion in the context of disability, the subjective well-being and emotional experiences of children and adolescents in challenging learning and developmental contexts, and emotions and motivation in schools and teaching.
