Gerda Bean

Gerda Bean was born in Baden-Baden in 1938. She worked, among other roles, for German television in Washington, D.C., and for Boston University. From the 1970s onward, she worked as a freelance translator of fiction and of children’s and young adult books. Her translations were nominated three times for the German Youth Literature Prize.
