Georg Spitaler

Georg Spitaler is a political scientist and historian. He worked as a university lecturer and course instructor at the University of Vienna and as a research associate at the Association for the History of the Labour Movement (VGA). His research focuses include political theory, cultural studies, the political dimensions of sport, and the history of the labour movement. He co-edited, among other works, the volume *Arena der Männlichkeit. Über das Verhältnis von Fußball und Geschlecht* (2006) and the introduction *Sport Studies* (2009).
