Geoff Johns (born 1973 in Detroit) studied art and media studies at Michigan State University. After working as an intern and assistant to filmmaker Richard Donner, he moved into comics. He began his comics career as the writer of S.T.A.R.S. AND STRIPE; his notable work includes FLASH, GREEN LANTERN, JSA, AQUAMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE, INFINITE CRISIS, BLACKEST NIGHT, FLASHPOINT, SHAZAM! and DOOMSDAY CLOCK. He also wrote for television series including Blade, Smallville, Arrow, The Flash and Stargirl. From 2010 to 2018, he served as Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment. His work received, among other honors, Comic Buyer’s Guide awards for Writer of the Year and for JSA as Best Series.
