Gabriele von Glasenapp

Gabriele von Glasenapp is a scholar of literary studies and literature education. She taught at the University of Cologne, where she also headed the ALEKI Centre for Research into Children’s and Young People’s Media. Her research focuses on theories and genres of children’s and young people’s literature from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century, Jewish children’s and young people’s literature, and cultures of remembrance. Her publications include “Jüdische Kinder- und Jugendliteratur” (2012), the co-edited volume “Literarisch-kulturelle Begegnungen mit dem Judentum” (2016), and “Kinder- und Jugendliteratur,” co-authored with Gabriele Weinkauff (3rd revised edition, 2017).
