Friedrich von Borries

Friedrich von Borries (born 1974 in Berlin) is an architect and design theorist. His career includes a professorship in design theory at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg. In 2008, he served as commissioner-general of the German contribution to the 11th International Architecture Biennale in Venice. His work connects architecture, design, art and sociopolitical questions. He also founded a project office concerned with the future of the city in both theoretical and practical terms.
