Frauke Rostalski

Frauke Rostalski, born in 1985, is a legal scholar and professor at the University of Cologne. Her fields of expertise include criminal law, criminal procedure, legal philosophy, business law, medical criminal law and comparative law. She has been a member of the German Ethics Council since 2020. Her publications include “Der Tatbegriff im Strafrecht” and “Das Natürlichkeitsargument bei biotechnologischen Maßnahmen” (both 2019). Her book “Die vulnerable Gesellschaft. Die neue Verletzlichkeit als Herausforderung der Freiheit” was nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize in 2024.
