Francis Nenik (born 1981) is the pseudonym of a German-language author. His debut novel, *XO*, was published in 2012 as a collection of loose-leaf pages. His other works include the essay collection *Doppelte Biografieführung*, the novel *Die Untergründung Amerikas*, *Tagebuch eines Hilflosen*, and the narrative nonfiction books *Reise durch ein tragikomisches Jahrhundert* and *Seven Palms. Das Thomas-Mann-Haus in Pacific Palisades*. His novel *E. oder Die Insel* was published in 2021 and received the Anna Seghers Prize. His writing has appeared in journals including *Merkur*, *Edit*, and *Words Without Borders*, and some of his texts have been adapted for radio.
