Fiona Sironic

Fiona Sironic (born 1995 in Neuss, Germany) studied language arts, creative writing and gender studies in Hildesheim and Vienna. She is a fiction writer and journalist whose journalistic work has dealt with digital games. Her literary work has received, among other distinctions, the 2019 Open Mike award, working and debut grants from the BMKÖS, and fellowships from the Klagenfurt Literature Course and the Kölner Schmiede. She was also nominated for the Wortmeldungen Förderpreis. Her debut novel, »Am Samstag gehen die Mädchen in den Wald und jagen Sachen in die Luft«, was shortlisted for the 2025 German Book Prize.
