Eva Schweikart

Eva Schweikart (born 1959) trained as a translator and subsequently worked for several years as an editor at a publishing house. From 1997 onward, she worked as a freelance literary translator from Dutch and English. She translated more than 100 books, including fiction, children’s and young adult literature, and nonfiction. In 2010, her translation of »Chatroom-Falle« was nominated for the German Children’s and Young Adult Literature Prize. In 2019, she received the Christoph Martin Wieland Translation Prize for her translation of »Emilia und der Junge aus dem Meer«.
