Ernst Halter was born in Zofingen in 1938. His works include the novels “Das Buch Mara” (1988), “Irrlicht” (1995), and “Jahrhundertschnee” (2009), as well as the poetry collection “Aschermittwoch” (1990). In 2000, he received the Aargau Literature Prize.
