Erica Jong

Erica Jong was born in Manhattan, New York, in 1942 and studied English literature at Columbia University. From 1966 to 1969, she lived in Heidelberg, where her second husband worked as a child psychiatrist. Jong initially wrote magazine articles and published three volumes of poetry. Her first novel, »Fear of Flying«, published in the United States in 1973, brought her international recognition. Her other works include the novels »Fanny« and »Fear of Dying« (2016).
