Elena Ferrante chose anonymity when her debut novel, Troubling Love, was published in 1992. She became internationally known for her four-volume Neapolitan Saga: My Brilliant Friend, The Story of a New Name, Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay, and The Story of the Lost Child. The series became a worldwide bestseller and was adapted for television. Ferrante’s other novels include The Days of Abandonment and The Lost Daughter. The fourth and final volume of the saga was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize. Frantumaglia, a collection of letters, essays, and interviews, has also been published.
