Edda Skibbe

Edda Skibbe was born in Hamburg in 1965 and studied illustration at the city’s college of design. In 1994, she co-founded the artists’ group atelier 9 with other illustrators. She illustrated numerous children’s books and also designed board games. In 1993, she received UNICEF’s Illustrator of the Year award. Skibbe worked as an illustrator in a shared studio.
