Douglas Preston

Douglas Preston was born in 1956 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He studied the sciences and later English literature in California. He subsequently worked at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and taught at Princeton University. During a late-night tour of the museum with Lincoln Child, he developed the idea for their first thriller together, Relic. In addition to numerous thrillers, Preston wrote solo novels such as The Codex, The Cabinet of Curiosities, Credo and Blasphemy, as well as nonfiction books on American history. He also contributed articles to various magazines.
