Daniel Wegner (born 1987) studied intercultural theology at the University of South Africa in Pretoria and diaconal studies at Heidelberg University. From 2017 to 2022, he worked as a research associate at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, contributing to research projects on community-based diaconal work. He subsequently worked at CVJM University of Applied Sciences in Kassel, where he holds an acting professorship in social work and diaconal practice.
