Cornelia Travnicek

Cornelia Travnicek (born 1987) is a German-language writer, translator from Chinese, and trained scholar of Sinology and computer science. She studied at the University of Vienna and worked as a researcher at a centre for virtual reality and visualisation. Her debut novel, “Chucks,” was published in 2012 and adapted for film in 2015. Other works include the novels “Junge Hunde” (2015) and “Feenstaub” (2020), as well as the poetry collection “Parablüh. Monologe mit Sylvia” (2017). Her literary work has received several awards, including the Theodor Körner Prize, the Recognition Prize of the State of Lower Austria, the Kranichstein Youth Literature Scholarship, and the Audience Award at the Days of German-Language Literature in 2012.
