Austrofred, born in 1970 in Steyr, Upper Austria, became known as an Austrian singer and entertainer. His Austropop adaptations of well-known hits by the rock band Queen contributed to Austrian popular culture in the 2000s. He also worked as an actor, television presenter, and food designer. Before pursuing an artistic career, he trained as a freight forwarding clerk.
