Cordelia Edvardson

Cordelia Edvardson (1929–2012) was born in Munich and lived in Berlin with her mother, the writer Elisabeth Langgässer, until 1943. At the age of fourteen, she was deported via Theresienstadt to Auschwitz. After the Second World War, she worked as a journalist in Sweden and moved to Israel in 1973. Her autobiographically based work *Burnt Child Seeks the Fire* received the Geschwister Scholl Prize.
