Claudia Janssen

Claudia Janssen (born 1966) is a German Protestant theologian. After completing her vicariate in the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover, she earned a doctorate and completed her habilitation in New Testament studies at Philipps University Marburg. In 2011, she was appointed adjunct professor of New Testament at the University of Marburg. She also worked as a study director at EKD institutions concerned with gender issues and theological education. Janssen is a co-editor of the “Bibel in gerechter Sprache” (2006) and the “Sozialgeschichtliches Wörterbuch zur Bibel” (2009).
