Luise Schottroff (1934–2015) was a Protestant theologian and professor of New Testament. She taught, among other institutions, at the universities of Mainz and Kassel, and from 2001 to 2005 at the Pacific School of Religion/Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley and Union Theological Seminary in New York. Her main areas of work included New Testament scholarship, social-historical theology, and feminist theology. She was among the founders of the social-historical method in Germany.
