Christoph Reuter is a German pianist, composer and musical cabaret performer. After receiving classical piano training, he studied jazz piano at the music academies in Leipzig and Berlin, completing a concert examination. In his solo programme “Klassik improvisiert,” he combines classical compositions with his own improvisations. As a composer, he has written for orchestras and choirs, as well as piano concertos, oratorios and musicals. Reuter was a founding member of the Cristin Claas Trio and has contributed to numerous albums. His musical cabaret programmes, including “Alle sind musikalisch! (außer manche),” have received several awards, including the Thuringian Cabaret Prize in 2017. His publications include the piano improvisation books “Improvise” (2007) and “Ran an die Tasten” (2017).
