Carol Leonnig (born 1966) began working as a reporter for the Washington Post in 2000. She received the Pulitzer Prize several times for her reporting on scandals involving U.S. intelligence agencies, including in 2015 and, as part of a team, in 2017 for coverage of Russian influence on the 2016 U.S. presidential election. In 2020, she co-authored the book A Very Stable Genius, published in German as Trump gegen die Demokratie, with Philip Rucker.
