Carmen Laforet

Carmen Laforet (1921–2004) was a writer from Barcelona. She grew up in the Canary Islands and returned to her birthplace at the age of 18. In 1944, her debut novel, “Nada,” received the first Premio Nadal. Laforet published eight novels and numerous short stories.
