Boris Herrmann (born 1981 in Oldenburg, Germany) is a German professional sailor. In 2020–21, he became the first German to compete in the Vendée Globe, a solo, non-stop race around the world; he took part in the race again from November 2024 to January 2025. In 2023, he competed in the Ocean Race with a four-person team. He wrote the books *Allein zwischen Himmel und Meer* and *Abenteuer Ocean Race* about these races. As part of his climate-protection work, Herrmann also sailed Greta Thunberg across the Atlantic to New York.
