Birgit Neumann

Birgit Neumann (born 1974) is a postdoctoral scholar in literary studies. Her academic positions have included a Privatdozentin role at the Institute of English Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, a research position at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture, and a professorship in English literature and Anglophone studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Her research has focused on Anglophone literature and culture from the eighteenth to the twentieth century, British imperialism, literary theory, and cultural-historical narratologies. Together with Jürgen Reulecke, she edited the series “Formen der Erinnerung” (“Forms of Memory”).
