Regina Schwarz (born 1951) initially studied teaching and subsequently social pedagogy in Regensburg. From 1984 onward, her poems, picture-book texts and stories appeared in schoolbooks, anthologies and magazines. Her work includes texts for young children, language games and tongue twisters, as well as poetic and humorous poems for adults. The German Academy for Children’s and Young Adult Literature named her book “Das verrückte Schimpfwörter-ABC” its Book of the Month. In 2024, she received the Josef Guggenmos Prize for Children’s Poetry.
