Biljana Jovanovic

Biljana Jovanović (1953–1996) was a Yugoslav writer, civil rights activist, and peace activist. She published poetry, three novels, four plays, short prose, letters, and political appeals. In the early 1990s, she organized several major anti-war campaigns and demonstrations. Her work and activism influenced post-Yugoslav feminist movements. A prominent literary prize in Serbia was named in her honor.
