Bianca Schaalburg

Bianca Schaalburg (born 1968 in Berlin) studied visual communication, specializing in illustration, at Berlin’s Hochschule der Künste, now the Berlin University of the Arts. She drew short comics while still at school and created cartoons and her first illustrations for children’s books during her studies. She subsequently worked as a freelance illustrator for children’s and young adult books, schoolbooks, magazines, publishers, and agencies, as well as occasionally for adult audiences. From 2018 onward, she increasingly focused on comic projects.
