Belinda Cannone is a French novelist, essayist and music theorist. She was born in Tunisia to Sicilian-Corsican parents. Her novels include *L’Homme qui jeûne*, *Nu intérieur* and *Vom Rauschen und Rumoren der Welt* (2020). Her essays address subjects including feminism, antisemitism and racism. Her essay writing has received several awards, including the Académie française Essay Prize. She was also appointed a Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur.
