Anselm Kiefer

Anselm Kiefer was born in Donaueschingen in 1945. He initially studied law and Romance languages before turning to painting. His teachers included Horst Antes and Joseph Beuys. His notable works include “Parsifal,” “Zweistromland,” and “Mohn und Gedächtnis.” In 2015, the Centre Pompidou in Paris presented a major retrospective of his work.
