Anne Steinwart

Anne Steinwart was born in 1945 in Steinheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, and grew up there. After training as a legal and notarial assistant, she worked as a secretary in various offices. She began writing her own texts and poems as a teenager. In 1984, a first collection of her poems was published by the magazine Brigitte; her first children’s book followed in 1987. From 1988 onward, Steinwart worked as a freelance author. She published more than 40 children’s books and several poetry collections. For many years, she wrote without publishing her work.
