Anja Hansen-Schmidt

Anja Hansen-Schmidt, born in 1970, studied American Studies, English Studies and political science in Tübingen and St. Paul, Minnesota. An internship at a publishing house led her to translation. From 1999 onward, she worked as a freelance translator, primarily translating children’s and young adult books, fantasy and nonfiction from English. Authors whose works she translated include Jenny Han, Erin Hunter, Tom Leveen, Jason Reynolds and J. K. Rowling. For the Hanser series, she translated, among other works, Jason Reynolds’s Track series.
