J. K. Rowling

J. K. Rowling is a writer and the author of the seven Harry Potter novels, published between 1997 and 2007. The series has been translated into more than 80 languages and provided the basis for eight films. Rowling also wrote three companion books for charitable purposes. Her other works include the fairy tale The Ickabog and the children’s book The Christmas Pig. She co-created the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. Under the pen name Robert Galbraith, she published a detective series. Rowling has received numerous awards and founded the children’s charity Lumos.
